Volunteer Central

In our short twelve years we've found it almost impossible to count the multitude of volunteers that have worked with us to bring real, quantifiable change to our state.  As we look to the decades ahead, we would like to share a few of the ways that we've made a difference in the lives of individuals and communities.  And we'd like to invite volunteers, businesses, government, and everyday citizens to join us in creating a stronger, smarter, healthier, safer, more vibrant, and more prosperous Mississippi.
 
The Mississippi Commission for Volunteer Service is committed to making people aware of the impact volunteerism has on our state.  After all, sharing our volunteers' achievements ultimately motivates others to pick up the banner and march forward with their own efforts.
 
Through our listservs, searchable Volunteer Opportunities database, links section, and other resources, MCVS educates people about the importance of volunteerism.  In fact, our mission is to engage and support Mississippians of all ages and backgrounds in service to their communities.  And this includes getting the word out and connecting people to resources and opportunities.
